1812 George III Sterling Silver Cruet Stand Adams Style Georgian
This is an antique George III sterling silver cruet stand in the Adams style. It bears the hallmark SH for Samuel Hennell and London date mark for 1812. There are two of the original cut glass and silver jars. The silver jar bases have the matching hallmarks. One lid has matching hallmarks and the other has a lion and date mark for 1813 so its probably a replacement. The stand is engraved on both sides of the support with the initials "VEF" and the lid of one jar is also engraved with "VEF".

The stand measures 9 1/4" across, 7 3/8" deep, and about 8 1/2 tall. There is wood on the underside.

There are spaces for 8 bottles, 2 jars are pictured. I have four other bottles but they are damaged which I will include if desired. The two jars are very good, with some chipping around the bottoms and one has some cloudiness. The silver tray flat portion (also bearing the same hallmarks) does have some discoloration spots which need to be cleaned or buffed off.
