This is a very nice George III sterling silver, footed "English 8 Piece Cruet Set" by David Hennell I Circa 1791 of London England. The footed base with the handle has the full set of English hallmarking along the front side as shown in the pictures along with the, Estate Crest, Heraldic marking and hallmarking's on the inside as well. The base with the handle is 9 1/2" tall, 7 3/4" in length and 5 1/4 wide at the center portion. The Condiment, Sterling lidded Jar, also has a set of hallmarking's on the front edge and the Sterling topped salt and pepper shaker also have the hallmarking's on their sterling tops.
The spoon that comes with the condiment jar has the same crest but a different silversmith's hallmarking on the handle as shown in the picture. There are two large glass Oil and Vinegar Jars and two smaller glass oil jars. The smaller set has a chipped stopper on one of them which is shown in the pictures. The Cruet set is in good, used condition with the normal surface wear commensurate with the age of the piece and normal usage.(see pictures for close ups).
