Rare Antique George III Hallmarked Solid Sterling Silver Shell Caddy Spoon Made By Duncan Urquhart & Naphtali Hart. Description - Wonderful Antique late 18th century George III solid silver Caddy spoon with a fluted shell pattern bowl and with a superb hand engraved handle with a vacant cartouche.
The Caddy spoon is hallmarked with the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the King's head, the London date letter "S" for the year 1793 and the maker's mark "DU NH" which is Duncan Urquhart & Naphtali Hart. Condition - The spoon is in very good condition, there are no dents, dinks, splits, holes or repairs, there are two minor dints in the bowl and a slight minor surface fracture on the cartouche. Dimensions & Weight - The spoon is 7cm long, the bowl is 4.4cm wide. The weight is 7.3 grams.Please have a browse in my shop.
