Fine antique English Georgian era sterling silver mustard or condiment pot with cobalt glass liner, London date mark for 1837 with ribbed'pumpkin' style shaping, floral finial and French hallmarked silver spoon! We're more known for our antique French sterling silver treasures but that never stops us from picking up wonderful old English, American or even Russian silver when we find them. This one bears English hallmarks, the date mark from London for 1837 so it's right in the middle of the Georgian era. There is a silversmith mark of "SH-DC" but I've not been able to find it so far, I'll keep searching.

The spoon a later replacement and is French, bearing the Minerve or Minerva hallmark (post-1838). A lovely little piece, don't miss it! There is a small dent on one side (center area if handle seen on the left).

There is the tiniest of cracks in the lid, a minuscule separation that you can see a hint of light through if held up but not really visible when just looking at the lid. Some surface marks and/or tarnish discolorations in some areas but the piece is in great shape given its nearly 200 years. The cobalt glass liner may be a replacement. See pictures for weights and measurements. We're easy to deal with.
