Old Antique ENGLISH GEORGE III STERLING SILVER Hallmarked SUGAR CASTER / SUGAR SHAKER. This is an elegant late 18th Century English Georgian Solid Silver Sugar Caster. Maker's Mark of Charles Fox. The inside of the lid is also hallmarked with the CF maker's mark of Charles Fox, the Lion Passant, and the Sovereign's Head duty mark (see photos). A very elegant Georgian Solid Silver caster.Perfect for Icing Sugar, Cinnamon, or anything else! It measures 5 3/4 inches (about 14.5 cm) in height. It weighs 80 grams (2.58 troy oz). A nice piece of 200+ year old Sterling Silver! The inner rim of the lid has a small crack / split (see Last Photo- the crack is only visible when the lid is removed). The lid is a bit loose- the caster is for Display rather than use. The base is very slightly misshapen and wobbles slightly (not very much). There is a tiny dent to the lower body (very minor - see photos). Otherwise, it is in Good Condition - there are no other condition issues or damage. We have more Antique Sterling Silver.
