Inside the reticulated edge are French hallmarks: the rooster with the number 1, indicating it was made in Paris between 1798 and 1809 (see close-up in 7th photo), and a man's head with the numbers 8 and 5, indicating it is 950 silver (see close-up in 8th photo). The inside rim has an incomplete maker's mark of an "M" and a "D" (see close-up in 9th photo). The salt cellar weighs 64.9 grams (without the glass liner).This rare salt cellar is in excellent condition.
