Made by WILLIAM HOLMES, LONDON c. This is very elegant museum quality sterling silver tea hot water or wine urn, Russian type samovar. Campagna vase double handle design. Conical body with hand engraving resting on square base with four ball-like feet. With a crest / mono to front.
Inside there is a central cylinder where the hot rod would have been inserted / mounted. Weight of sterling silver here is 2983 grams or 95.9 Troy oz. Height - 51.5 cm high. Spread across handles - 30 cms. Body at the widest - 20 cm.
Condition: Good condition considering age. Please note that this item is 235 years old - not new.
