A super and very scarce pair of early George III candle scissors in sterling silver, fully hallmarked for London 1765, maker John Buckett. They have a good armorial crest engraved and some bright cut floral work to top. The inside of the cutter section is cleverly inset with a small strip of steel for added strength. Condition: Overall super for age, the spigot pin looks to have been replaced some time ago & there is a historical small solder to a break in one of the handle rings but otherwise all as it should be and still absolutely solid & functional etc. Size: 17cm (6.8 inches) Length Identifying Marks: See photo Unpacked Weight: 110g /3.54oz Troy.
