Unfortunately, the original bottles werent with the stand so I have matched a set that look as if theyre from the same period but are from the turn of the 20. All the glass bottles are of faceted circular form and taper to the feet.
There are 2 oil/vinegar bottles with faceted glass stoppers, a mustard pot with silver plated hinged lid and a shaker with silver plated cap. There is also a silver plated mustard spoon.
These bottles do fit in the holder well but there are a few issues with them as described below. The stand is in beautiful condition with no damage or repairs and it stands nice and level with only a fractional wobble. The decorative work around the bottle rings is still nice and crisp. One oil bottle is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The other is fine with the exception of a 25mm (1) surface chip along the top of the flared rim.
The glass of the pepper pot is in good order but the collar has been re-glued at some stage and its possible to see the edge of the glue. The top of the collar and the cap both have quite a bit of pitting (blackening & wear) which will be caused by contact with acids.
Unfortunately, the mustard pot has a crack that runs across the middle of the base and about 38mm (1.5) up the body across one half. Its possible this broke off and was re-glued at some stage as there is possibly some glue residue visible. Should it break away in future, it should be a clean break which would be quite easy to re-adhere. The spoon is in very good order.Ive tried to show all aspects in the photos below and the condition of the bottles and the matching of the set are reflected in the asking price.
