A good example of a large antique Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It has a bulbous shape with elegant scrolling handle, rolled rim and large pouring spout.
The jug is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 142g. It is clearly hallmarked for Edward, Edward Junior, John & William Barnard, London, 1837. It is also stamped "266".
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and small dinks around the body and a small dent by the spout but nothing detrimental and it still displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
