This is a beautiful antique Georgian sterling silver coffee pot made by John Payne and hallmarked in London 1769. Made with a heavy gauge of silver it stands firmly on a raised circular base. The attractive spout has further applied decoration. It has a double scroll wooden handle with thumbpiece (an old repair but fully secure).
Clear hallmarks to the base of the pot and partial hallmarks to the lid. Overall a fine Georgian silver piece. Weight 830 gms (29 ozs).
