A huge rare Georgian sterling silver soup or serving ladle. It is hallmarked for London 1783 with the makers mark being GS for Gabriel Sleath. It has been beautifully made to what is termed the Old English pattern. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs - the odd faint mark but noting for a piece of this age. It measures an impressive 13.5 inches (34.3cms) long by 3.5 inches (9cms) wide and weighs 167 grams. A beautifully made rare piece. If you have any queries etc...
