Early George IV Sterling and Crystal Cruet Set London - Dated 1828. This beautiful early Georgian condiment set consisting of a sterling silver rectangular, claw footed base with a gadroon edge that holds 8 crystal pieces. Five of the bottles have spouts and stoppers, two have sterling collars with sterling lids and sterling spoons (one regular spoon and one pierced spoon both spoons date 1829 and are crested), one is a replacement bottle with stopper. Two of the stoppers have long thin spoons attached. Please be sure to look at all the photos as they show the beauty of the set much more than my words have given it credit for.
W & E for William Easterbrook, Leopard Head for London, Assay mark Lion passant denoting. 925 Sterling Silver, the duty mark of the Sovereign's head of George IV and the date letters "n" for 1828. The spoons date 1829 and are by another maker. Measure: 8 1/4 inches wide x 7 1/4 inches deep x 9 inches high. Excellent Condition: One bottle has been replaced and one stopper has a chip shown in an enlarged photo. Please note that we pack extremely well and double box.
