The top features stylised acanthus leaves and floral blooms. The centre engraved with family crest, an eagle on a scallop shell. With scroll and shell rim, standing on three. Hallmarked to underside for John Swift, London 1759. A very large and heavy piece of early Georgian Silver. In antique condition with some wear. A crest to the centre has been removed and replaced. As a result the central area is somewhat thinner. Top also undulates / bulges and pops up and down.
