Pair Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Sauce Ladles Paul Storr 1816
This is a fine pair of antique Georgian sterling silver sauce ladles made by Paul Storr and hallmarked in London 1816. They are in very good condition with clear and identical hallmarks. The ladles have been made with a heavy gauge of silver and each have an armorial of a stag rising from a coronet.
Paul Storr is recognised as the finest English silversmith of the 19th century and was silversmith to kings and other royalty. His work is widely collected and exhibited in museums. (NB any shadows shown in the photographs are merely reflections). Weight 116 gms (4 ozs). Length 17.5 cms (7 ins).
