This is an early 18th-century (1724) solid sterling silver berry spoon. Made by Jane Lambe, one of the very few early female silversmiths, her mark features a lamb over her initials I.
The spoon bowl with gold wash, hand chased and repousse fruit decoration. Free from monograms or inscriptions. A rare and fine early example, genuine George I 295-year-old antique silver berry spoon. London, SILVER fineness 925, MAKER Jane Lambe.
