Here today for your consideration we have this stunning large Georgian sterling silver teapot, made by James Barratt of London, c-1803.This wonderful teapot is oval in shape, featuring bright cut detail throughout and a charming family crest to one side. The handle and finial are both constructed in timber, and the spout is free from tip damage and pours perfectly. Condition is good overall, with the usual scratches and pin-pricks evident as per photos. The spacer under the finial is not original, but looks the part. The hallmarks are crisp and clear to all pieces, and the lid closes snugly on the body. Add this superb early teapot to your collection today! The teapot measures 28cm handle-to-spout and stands about 17cm tall. Unpacked, it weighs in at 400gms.
